Understanding Restitution;

RESTITUTION is the act of restoring anything to its rightful owner or act of given an equivalent for loss or damage. Means giving back or return of something to its rightful owner. Also restitution can be defined as paying back compensation for a loss, damage, or injury On the other hand restitution means give something back, return something to previous condition. God forgives when we repent but he requires us to make amends to any person we have injured or wronged by sinning.

Restitution makes a person pay back just debts, restore stolen or misappropriated articles, uncover his crimes and confess his lies. This is to be done whether the person is injured knew it or not. God knows

Many so called born-again Christians always go along with a bible scriptures that says, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature and the old things has passed away, forget and never cares of the evil they have done to people in the past.They don’t border about the lies they told clearly in the past that brought someone into trouble.They don’t border about the serious damages they have caused someone. Bible said, you must compare scripture with scripture. You don’t take just a scripture and run with it. Every scripture has it own reason and it needs, every scripture, for the bible said, none of it shall fail for my mouth has said it.

The scripture is not alone. There is another scripture that speak of that scripture to make it clear, to show that in the mouth of two or three witnesses. All you think you know, is just a part. So you can’t say, the things you did yesterday, you have forgotten, but God has not forgotten. In time of grace, every sins leads to hell 

 You forgot but the heart of the offended has not forgotten. When you got born-again, did your face change? Did your stature change? A stolen Car will still remain a stolen car, even if you claim to be a born-again, the fact will still remain that, the money you are enjoying now, was stolen from your office. Zaccheus said, I will restore all what I stole from people, because people have started looking down at Jesus, because he was walking with a robber. At that spot, he made necessary restitution and Jesus said, today salvation has come to your house. Why didn’t Jesus tell him, No it’s not necessary, the old has past away. Restitution is the evidence that Salvation has come. God commanded it. And it has being in practice for many years even before the Law of Moses.

Brethren that cloth you stole from the line, Now that you have given your life to Christ, go back and return it. Return that shoe you stole before is too late. Go and return those things you stole from your office even if you are no more working there, still return. Even the things you borrow return them. Even the Bible you borrow, return it. Death will never inform you before coming to take you. Return everything before death comes. Ezk 33:14 and Judges17:1.

The bible you borrowed from your friend hand, A whole Jesus himself and you fail to return it, if you die at that spot, it is hell. to us it is nothing, but to God it is something. In time of grace, every little sin will lead you to hell. People don't know who God is, if they know they will fear him. You tell a lied that lead someone into trouble, go back and say the truth; else, Hell is waiting for you. That little salt you took from your Neighbor without telling him will lead you to hell if you die without telling her. A box of Matches is not up to 5Naira, but taking two stick without telling your neighbor will lead you to hell Rev 21:27.

Those things you stole from your office, even Biro, return it now, it's dangerous for your soul. You called yourself a man of God, and you cast a curse on someone because he disrespected you, or because he stole away your members, Haven’t you once disrespected God before? Go back and pray for him now. I’m not advising you But commanding you in the name of Jesus. You commit adultery with another woman, you must confess your sin to your wife because, you have cheated on her. As a choir master, you commit fornication with one of the chorister, don’t think you can cover up your sin, you must report yourself to your pastor, so that they will punish you now, than the eternal punishment that await you in hell

You are a pastor, and you end up committing adultery with a lady that seduces you in your church, don’t cover it up, you must report yourself to the elder of the church and also your wife. You are about to get married to an innocent man that knows nothing about your past, and because of your past life, your womb has being destroyed, confess your past to him, if he’s yours he will stay with you and will still marry you

The money you borrowed from that man that died two years ago, you must still pay it back to his family or else, hell await you.You are yet to pay your wife dowry, you are a thief, even if she is now 70yrs old, go and pay her dowry, else hell is waiting for you. Those of you that beat your wife as if she is in kindergarten, the rod of God is waiting for you if you die without begging her. I will teach my husband a lesson, he think he can cheat on me; I will show him that I am a woman. The lord who created woman will show you too that He is God.

And what make you think you can divorce your wife for committing adultery? My dear you can’t. if you have divorce and re-marry, hell is waiting for you for the sin of adultery. Rom7:2-3. Barrenness or no barrenness Children or no children, Witch or no witch, Poverty or no poverty, Adultery or no Adultery the law binding husband and wife is for life. You can’t divorce and remarry if you have done that, hell is waiting for you Mal 2:14-16 I hate divorce. Never look for a reason to put away your wife or your husband.

SHOULD WE DIVORCE OUR WIFE FOR COMMITTING ADULTERY?

 Let he that is without sin be the first to cast the stone, that means.God equate Adultery with stealing, lying, anger, bitterness etc. if none of these can separate marriage, then Adultery can’t separate marriage. That fowl you stone for eating your food, and accidentally, the foul died in your hand, don’t bury it, go and report yourself to the owner. Because you got married to a stingy husband, that shouldn’t give you the reason to steal his money, if you do that, and you fail to restitute, it is hell. You women that tied the glory of your husband in a pot, go and loose him now before is too late, else hell will arrest you when you die

You cursed your boyfriend because he cheated on you and ran away with your friend, tell me is there no more man in town? What if he marries you and use your head for ritual? Because of your curse at 40 he still remain single, go back and loose him and the lord will forgive you. You need to go back and confess your crime to those you have offended and Seek forgiveness from them. Follow peace with all men. False property, false result, False certificate, you need restitution in order to be free. Men with two wives, you are a thief 

RESTITUTION ON MARRIAGES:

Any marriage without the parent consent by refusing to pay full dowry, is said to be illegal marriage.  An illegal marriage is when a man forcefully takes a woman to his house without the payment of dowry or incomplete payment of dowry. This means God will see both couples as fornicators not husband and wife. If you want God to see you as husband and wife then you need to do restitution by paying your dowry in full, not half dowry payment. Exod 22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

Exod 22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

1Cor 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

1Cor 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

The only way to solve this issue is to restore the marriage by paying the full dowry and God will see both of you as husband and wife. Also it is wrong for a woman to live under the roof of a man who is not her husband, and it is wrong for a man to live under the roof of a woman who is not his wife. Bot of them are committing fornication in the sight of God. If they are not ready to marry, they should separate totally. They should not live together in one roof, it’s wrong for them to see each other nakedness as long they are not married,  Lev 18:19 Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness. They must separate, anyone who is guilty of this is qualified to end up in hell. Only married couples have the right to see each other nakedness.  

Also on the other hand as for married couple if married man cheats on his wife and defile the bed by having sex with another woman. He must make a full restitution to his wife because he has defiled the bed and has also cheated on his wife. If a woman cheats on her husband by having sex with another man outside. She must make a full restitution to her husband about it. This is very compulsory to any believer that wants to make heaven at all cost. Both husband and wife must be truthful when making their restitution to each other. Failure to do this restitution will not inherit God’s kingdom if he/she is found guilty. A married man have no right to divorce (put-away) his wife and a woman has no right to divorce her husband. Doing this is a sin in the sight of God. Any man/woman that is divorces makes him/herself unholy before God. Matt 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Any man that divorce his wife and marries another woman (second wife) must dissolve that second marriage and restore his first wife back. Any married woman that leaves her husband and marries another man which is not her first husband must dissolve that marriage and return to her first husband she first met. Refusing to restore your marriage make he/she unholy before God. Whosoever that divorces and remarrying will not see the face of God and such person will not enter heaven. If an unmarried man marries a woman that has already got married to another man. He must dissolve that marriage and restore the woman back to her husband. He must make full restitution to the husband of the woman about it because the woman which he took belongs to another man and he coveted her to be his illegal wife.

Exod 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

 1Sam 18:25 And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.

1Sam 18:26 And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired.

1Sam 18:27 Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife.

2Sam 3:12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.

2Sam 3:13 And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face.

2Sam 3:14 And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

2Sam 3:16 And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.

 Remember that coveting another man’s wife is a sin and such must be restored without delay Unknown to him, God will see him as an adulterer. And no adulterer will enter into the kingdom of God. If an unmarried woman marries a man that has already got married to another woman. She must dissolve that marriage and restore the man back to his wife. She must make full restitution to the wife of that man about it because the man which she took belongs to another woman and she coveted him to be her illegal husband. If an unmarried man defile (having sex with) another man’s wife. He must make full restitution to the man about the defilement of his wife. And God will show him mercy. The same thing applies to a woman who took another woman’s husband, may be either her friend’s husband she covet, she must make full restitution about it.  Besides this kind of restitution requires counsel from your pastor of your church. Before doing this kind of restitution please consult your pastor before carrying it out. But not all pastors and ministers are not born again. Look for a truly born again sanctified pastor that knows the true word of God to counsel you about it before carrying it out. 

RESTITUTION ON WEDDING MATRIMONY
As a born-again believer, let say before you did your wedding in the church, and you lied to your pastor that both of you did not know each other (having sex before marriage) and you did holy matrimony instead of blessed marriage, you must go back to that church which you lied to your pastor concerning your wedding, tell him the truth that both of you defile yourselves that it is not holy matrimony, or else failure to do so will land such straight to hell. now holy matrimony is when a couple got wedded exchanged vows, before the have sex, it is practiced after the couples is joined together. if you have sex and you lied to your pastor that both of you did not have sex and you did that holy wedding, go back and make restitution.
 

RESTITUTION IN AREA OF FALSE ACQUISITION.

God Also promise to punish Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, for acquising Job wrongly, else they do to him a necessary restitution and allow Job to pray for them, his wrath will be on them.

Lev 19:11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

 Lying means deliberately say something untrue: to say something that is not true in a conscious effort to deceive somebody to give a false impression. If you lie against your neighbor for your own benefit. You have to make a restitution about it to that particular neighbor whether he knows it or not or you bear false witness against your neighbor that which is not true you must make restitution of it to him/her about it.

YOU SPEAK , CHALLENGED AND REPORT ANY HOW.

You must do something about it before standing before the judgment throne. He that speak careless words, shall stand at the judgment of his words. He shall account for any foul words. Else, Repent now and go back to apologies

RESTITUTION IN AREA OF FRAUDULENT MINISTRY.

1Sam12:1-5 Samuel was ready to restitute if He has taken anything in a wrong way from anyone just as Zaccheus did. It is expected as a ruler of the church, elder, pastor or any leader of the church to make sure their way is pure in any circumstances, so that your way will be just before the lord. You borrow money from church you fail to pay back. You embezzle the church money. You committed adultery with a member of the church, you must do restitution, even if you are no more in that church, you must go back.

RESTITUTION ON FAKE CREDENTIALS, FALSE DOCUMENTS:

As a born-again believer, you have to do away with false documentation such as false credentials, false WAEC results, false birth-certificate or any false documentation used. You must do your restitution on this if you are found guilty in this act. Including your cheated exam results such as false WAEC results, false JAMB results and any other kind of fake institutional results. You must condemn them and burn them and have nothing to do with them. If you deceive your company, place of work with these false documentation to obtain a job in that company. You must make restitution to the company about it, including impersonating of documentation about the company with false document details you have to make restitution. This is mandatory to any believer that wants to make heaven at all cost. 

RESTITUTION ON FAMILY DEFILEMENT

If any man or woman defiles any of their family relatives or love ones. he/she must make restitution to the particular relation in whom he/she defiled to obtain forgiveness. Especially a married man who is already married went and defile the following whether is his wife’s family relatives or his own relatives which he defile her-self with. Restitution is obtained. Also a woman who is already married and went to defile her-self with her family relatives or her husband relatives. Restitution must be done on this. Failure to do restitution makes such not to inherit the kingdom of God. On the other hand as a believer, you defile your sister’s child or aunty’s child, or uncle’s child. You must make restitution on this; otherwise failure to do so will land you straight to hell. Or as a born-again believer, you defile your father’s mother or your mother’s fathers do that restitution or else, hell is awaiting you.

RESTITUTION FOR THEFT.

Judges 17:1-4 This was a story of a boy Micah who stole the silver of his mother, even when his mother was causing who stole it, the man was still saying amen. But later, after many years, this boy repented and returned the money, it was until then the woman blessed him after he Restitute. The boy bear the shame, and confess his sins, yet the boy never knew it’s Lord money. Still her mother gave him back the money.What did God said concerning this?. Ezikiel33:14-16. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die., None of his sins that he hath committed shall be m mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

Luke 19:5 – 9. Form the story of Zacchaeus, Zacchaeus was determined to make his full restitution. As he make a decision to make all his restitution Jesus said to him today salvation is in your house that means Jesus granted him salvation and any believer that the Lord has granted him/her salvation has the license to inherit God’s kingdom. if you have taken anything from somebody either legally and you have not return it up till now. You have to make a restitution of returning it to the owner either he knows it or not. Maybe it might be his/her item such as matches, cloth, phone, books or any item in which you know that doesn’t belongs to you. If you are with such an item that belongs to your neighbor. You have to return it to the owner without delay otherwise salvation will not be granted to you by the Lord Jesus Christ. Exodus 22:12, Leviticus 19:11, 13

God is only interested in a serious human. He is ready to take if just only one that will be ready. If God can only remember Noah in his time, then he will only take to his kingdom, the only one ready for his will. So that the one not ready will be cast into the lake of fire, and they will not come to become another satan in heaven.

RESTITUTION UNTO SATAN:

To do restitution unto satan you have to return what belongs to him because as a born-again Christian if you are holding his property, you cannot inherit the kingdom of God except you return his property to him. Examples of his property that belongs to him are, alcoholic drink(Leviticus 10:9, Proverb 20:1, Isaiah 5:11,22) smoking, half-naked clothing such as (armpit-exposing blouses, breast exposing blouses, legging, trousers, split skirts, back exposing blouses, pencil skirts, curve skirts, waist-tight shirts which makes your curves attractive, stomach exposing blouses, bomb-shots, short-nicker, transparent blouses, short skirts/skirts above ankle level), ungodly musics(Ecclesiastes 7:5; Colossians 3:16), names attached to idols belongs to the devil and you must restitute it by changing your name to a name that bears the name of Jesus(Zechariah 13:2), enchaments, witchcraft spirits(Leviticus 19:31; 20:6, Proverbs 8:36), false shelters and false churches belongs to satan and this is devil’s house including churches that compromises the standard of God’s word(2 John 1:10 – 11, Matthew 24:11-12, Matthew 24:24), artificial appearance such as(life such as tattoo design, attachments, wool, thread plating, ear-rings, nose-rings, neck chains, gold teeth, wedding rings, hair-rings. Any believer who practice it will not inherit God’s kingdom, Romans 1:23, 26 1 Peter 3:3-4. God’s warning on ornaments, Exodus 33:4-6.), false books, idolatry, ungodly films, films that does not comply to God’s standard (James 4:4, 1 John 2:15-17) and many of them. All the above properties listed above belongs to the devil and must be returned to him without delay. A true believer must not entangle him/herself to these items of the devil. Return it to the owner called the devil and God will have mercy on you. Any Christian who fails to return any property listed above to the devil is already doomed for eternal destruction. Return them by burning these things and have nothing to do with them and separate yourselves from false religion and false churches.

RESTITUTION ON HUMAN STEALING.

Solomon restores back the stolen child back to her mother. Any child you bought, any child you stole, restore it back to the owner. It’s different from abduction . You sneak into the hospital to steal that child. 2 Sam 21:1-9. Gibeonite was not among the children of Israel, but God punish the people of Israel for the evil they did to Gibeonite. Because God called you his beloved child, doesn’t mean he hate other people. He is the God of the Jews and the Gentiles. David met the people of Gibeonite to apologies and ask what they can used for restitution, and they requested for the life of Saul family

Saul killed them because of his own religious believe, forgotten the covenant they made with them through Joshua . Because God called you his people don’t mean he rejected other people. He is a God of all flesh I will visit iniquity upon the first and second generation even the fourth generation. Saul brought sin upon his generation, and his generation paid for what he owe. God needs a thorough work of righteousness. If you are really sorry, then return what you have stolen

RESTITUTION ON KILLING:

Any one that is born-again and you kill somebody child, or you kill some-one that you know the family or neigbour you must do your restitution on that, but if you don’t know anybody of their relation or family member whom you kill their person restitution is not involved in this matter, take the matter to your church pastor let him pray for you concerning it, once he have prayed for you that restitution is done automatically. This kind is for people who don’t know those that they kill. Please look for a true holy sanctified pastor that will counsel you on this matter.  Except you know the neigbour of that person whom you killed, this kind of restitution requires counseling, also if you are a hire killer or arm robber and you are born-again and you realize this it is a different issue, just take the matter to your pastor to counsel you on these.

RESTITUTION ON MAKING PEACE WITH YOUR OPPONENTS.

Follow peace and holiness with all men for without no man shall see the lord . Even before giving gift to God, you must first Restitute, apologies to whosoever you offended that is holding grudge against you, even before your offering can be accepted by the Lord Mathew 5:21-26. Telling your brother he’s useless, even the devil is still useful in some aspect, despite a whole man created by God. Calling your brother fools. Beating your wife, and maltreating your workers. Disrespecting your Father or Mother, even your Boss. Or even calling your brother FOOL habah that’s dangerous. be careful. Mathew 18:15-18. Even if your brother is angry with you, go to him and tell him his fault, instead of holding grudge or malice against him 

RESTITUTION ON PERSONAL BELONGING: 

 Personal belonging may be sold for the purpose of carrying out restitution. Mathew 18:23-25: Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants, And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents,But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. Some will say I want to restitute but I don’t have the money, don’t you have anything to sell? If matters of restitution can be seeing by God like this, are you playing with it? Can God can say sell him and his family to do restitution, are you playing with restitution?. If you have money to pay, pay it now else, you will be sold to hell.

WISDOM IS REQUIRE IN RESTITUTION. 

Moreover, you must humble yourself. Humility turn away anger. A wife should use soft language in humility to apologies to his husband. Jacob sent gift Bach by batch to Esau when he wanted to do his own restitution.  He bow when he saw his brother 7 times. Your pride will lead you to destruction. The humility gave this man mercy from his master

PAUL MADE A RESTITUTION 

 Act 23:3 "Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people. This is a great apostle apologizing after he realized he has spoken rudely to a high priest even if he’s an unbeliever. Many people, including I, before I stopped are fun of speaking rudely against the men of God. They can spit on a pastor face, If an Apostle of Christ can plead for the mistake he made, then who are you?

Fear the anointed men of God. If God will defend Saul even in his backsliding, then you have a restitution to made. I remember a time I used to post against men of God, on Nairaland forum. The day I stopped, I wrote an open letter for my mistake. Before going to the Lord. Restitution made by Onesimus and Philemon. He stole from Philemon, but later repented after the preaching of Paul, and Paul has to send him back to Philemon because he knew keeping him, will transgress against the word of God. Paul even promise to pay it from his own account. He sent him back to do Restitution. Its time to Restitute, delay is dangerous.
